I am in the early stages of using Facebook as a platform to show pupils' work. I have created a Facebook account just for school (I do have a personal account but it is not linked) and I created a page just for year 10 Media - two classes. Currently there is just one post on there, an evaluation from a media class...
This really is in its early stages and I am not sure how it will work or whether it will be successful or what potential it has. I don't want to be afraid to try things; if it doesn't work that is ok... as I constantly tell my pupils, it is ok to 'make mistakes' as this is a great way to learn how to get things right!
Absolutely! Thanks for sharing this Sue, and let us know how you get on :)
ReplyDeleteLet me know how the students take to it. As someone who only has one friend (her daughter), I will hold my hands up and I admit that the attraction eludes me a little. I'm willing to give it a go, but will need some help. Is there an opportunity for our students (the whole group's students) to collaborate through using Facebook?
