Excellent - and how true, the need to understand all the factors that affect children. - Sangeet
This to me was a very successful home visit because of you being able to get that sense that all was not right from an early moment.
In order for us to support the children in the classroom, we have to 'know' our students. There have been many times where 'gut instinct' kicks in and you just know that something isn't right with a student. Finding a solution can be equally difficult and sometimes there isn't a solution - very hard to accept.
This is a great example of a pupil being a human being who has more to worry about that school; he clearly has a good heart and wanted to do what was right for his mother.Great key moment here that many teachers can learn from... thank you!
